Barista / Catering Assistant (Woldingham) - Full-time

Our Dene restaurant is looking for full time barista all-rounders to join our team at an established garden centre restaurant.

Candidates should have a passion for making new friends whilst delivering prompt, efficient service and have an eye for detail.

To become part of the Dene team we need you to be friendly, polite and professional. You will also be eager to learn; we want our baristas to want to have the best reputation in the area, we would also like you to be able to show your skills off by hand crafting top quality, individually made drinks. Training is given on the job.

Working hours will include alternate weekends and Bank Holidays as required.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Back-flushing and clean the machinery at the end of the day

  • Be proficient at steaming milk

  • Cleaning tables, floors and prep areas

  • Helping in wash up area

  • Re-stocking areas

Plant Area Supervisor - (Woldingham) - Full-time

A rewarding and responsible position running our shrub department at our Woldingham Garden Centre. Knowledge of buying and handling plants is essential and managing the plant team.

 We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated person to join the plant team. You must be outgoing and well presented, friendly, able to quickly build a good relationship with customers and enjoy the enthusiasm our customers have for gardening. A keen interest in horticulture and knowledge of plants is preferred and the ability to work as part of a team.

 Duties will include:

· ‪Receiving and processing weekly deliveries of plants.

· Customer service and sales

· Helping customers with general gardening queries.

· ‪Maintaining plant displays and creating attractive new displays

· ‪Ensuring the retail space is presentable for customers

· ‪Stock management including watering of plants

· ‪Outdoor working required in all weather conditions, physically fit and able to handle heavy stock.

 ‪Working hours will include alternative weekends and Bank Holidays as required.

A uniform will be provided.
