Both Mr David Knight and Duncan Knight were on hand to present a cheque to St Catherine's Hospice following a successful period of fund raising by staff member Pam Miriam who galvanised our customers into giving throughout the year. St Catherine's has recently been established on the site of Dormer's in Foxon Lane, Caterham. The organisation provides day care for those battling with cancer.

Managing Director, David Knight said it's always a pleasure to help local charities who are providing care and services within the community. I would like to thank our customers for their support throughout this fundraising year.  

The Pantry Coffee Shop  at our Chelsham branch have achieved the Gold Award from Trading Standards, Surrey County Council's Eat Out Eat Well scheme. The Pantry is one of only three Gold Award winners across Surrey. The Award covers healthy and diet options, best preparation and cooking practice and reflects the very high standards for which the Pantry has become known. 

Mr Knight said "I am naturally delighted with the award. We encourage such visits which confirm that our staff are doing a great job. To be one of only three Gold Winners across Surrey is great. Well done to everyone".

We have been busy taking calls from local schools who want our help. Last term we visited Audley School in Caterham, who have a very impressive poly tunnel. The school planted some vegetables last year and wanted our help to make a greater success this year. Seeds have been provided, along with advice and support for the children, and we will return this term to see just how they have got on so far.
