Photo Competition

Winners Announced

Following the competition we are proud to announce the Judges overall winning photograph and those who have won their place in our 2012 calendar. 

The winning entry (left) from Mrs Ellard of Warlingham who also won £200 of Knights Garden Centres vouchers. 

The winners and runners up can all be seen in the forthcoming KNIGHTS calendar which will be available from our tills at both Centres.  

Mr Knight wants to thank all those who entered the competition, the standard was extremely high and judging was a lengthy and difficult process. The competition was a great success and we intend to run the competition again in 2012. 

Schools Update

Knights in the Community

We have been working with a number of schools over the last few months. In September we visited Caterham Prep School and were very impressed by the standard of produce that the students submitted. Knights were proud to present the ‘Best in Show’ award to one very talented pupil. 

Also in September we visited Essendene Lodge to judge the competition with Year 2 who had been growing runner beans and pumpkins over the summer holidays. We also visited Year 1 who planted spring bulbs which they will now care for over the next few months.

In July Knights enjoyed a visit from pupils from Audley School who planted a range of flowers which they took home. We visited Audley School  in October to work with their Eco Gardening Club in their magnificent poly tunnel.  

Surrey Air Ambulance

With our new charity firmly established we are delighted to say that you have helped us to raise 

over £1,225 so far.

A raffle was held at our Privilege Customers Christmas Open Evening and your support continues to make all the difference. With the winter weather on its way there is no telling if or when the ambulance will be called out and so your support could make all the difference to the provision of this vital service.
