Furniture Sales Supervisor - Full-time (Chelsham)

We require a full-time Furniture Sales Supervisor to work at our Chelsham Centre. The Outdoor living area is a key part within the Garden Centre.

The role will involve, assisting to manage the furniture and outdoor living department, with the additional responsibility of assembling and merchandising our display furniture models. Candidates must be customer focussed, self-motivated and hard working. Working alternative weekends with a day off each week. Hours to be discussed at the interview.

This position requires frequent lifting, carrying and pushing/pulling of furniture. Must have the ability to use various power tools for assembly purposes, although training can be provided.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the furniture team with customer service

  • Creating inspirational outdoor living displays

  • Give advice to our customers on barbecues, outdoor lifestyle products and garden furniture.

  • Help customers make their decisions and complete the sales

  • Working with the team to meet sales budgets, ensuring stock levels are maintained

  • Organising customer deliveries ensuring they are completed correctly and efficiently

  • Daily care of the furniture department including cleaning and ensuring merchandising material is correct and up to date

  • Proven experience of at least 1 year in retail or sales.

Chef/Cook Full-time (Woldingham)

The Dene Restaurant at Knights Garden Centres, Woldingham is set in a peaceful and pretty location with lovely gardens.

Sociable working hours! Mostly 8am to 5pm shifts and not every weekend is required.

The Dene restaurant is looking for a full-time (including alternate weekends) cook/chef to help assist in our friendly, busy kitchen. You will need to have flair and passion to create and make delicious meals for our loyal customers and show initiative and leadership skills. Have an understanding about allergies and their importance.

A basic food hygiene certificate is required and a catering qualification would be an advantage. Experience is essential.
